What should you do before you sell?
A short preparation step keeps the valuation honest and stops a locked machine being priced as if it were ready to reuse. Do this before collection if you still have access to the devices.
- Back up anything you still need. Collection is not a backup service.
- Remove management accounts and MDM enrollment where you can, including Apple Activation Lock and similar company locks.
- Clear BIOS or firmware passwords, or tell us they are still set so the offer can reflect that.
- Leave asset tags in place if your own records use them, and say so on the list.
- Include chargers, docks and drives that belong with the units. Missing accessories change the value.
- Note units that do not power on, rather than mixing them in as working stock.
