Computer Recycling in Dubai

Service Overview

Recycling computers that are not going back into use

Computer recycling is the dismantling and material recovery of desktops, laptops and workstations that have no practical resale path. It sits alongside buyback: working machines can be purchased; the rest are processed so they are not stored indefinitely or discarded as general waste.

MAH Recycling collects organizational lots in Dubai and across the UAE, sanitizes or destroys storage media as agreed, then recycles equipment that cannot be reused.

Who this service is for

Offices, schools, labs and corporate IT teams with quantities of PCs that are broken, incomplete, too old to remarket, or already written off.

  • IT managers clearing stored desktops and laptops after a refresh
  • Facilities teams emptying cages or storerooms of old PCs
  • Procurement teams disposing of failed or incomplete units from a buyback lot
  • Educational and training labs replacing student computers

Accepted computers and related items

Desktop PCs and towers
Laptops and all-in-one computers
Workstations
Monitors used with those computers
Keyboards, mice, docking stations and power supplies in the same lot
Internal drives removed from computers, if listed separately

Process

1

List or inspection

A count by type (laptop, desktop, monitor) is enough to start. We inspect when condition is mixed or unknown.

2

Separate reuse from recycling

Machines that still have buyback value are identified. The remainder is scheduled for recycling.

3

Data handling

Storage in computers is wiped using NIST SP 800-88 aligned processes or physically destroyed, according to your instructions.

4

Dismantling and reporting

Recycled units are dismantled for material recovery. Inventory reporting can be provided after processing.

Data destruction on recycled computers

A recycled computer still contains storage until that media is treated. Recycling does not replace data destruction.

  • NIST SP 800-88 aligned wiping if a unit is later found to be reusable
  • Physical destruction of HDDs and SSDs in machines destined only for recycling
  • On-site destruction of drives before chassis are collected, when required

Deliverables

  • Collection of listed computers from your UAE site
  • Buyback of units that still have residual value
  • Recycling of units without resale value
  • Agreed treatment of internal storage

Reporting

Reports can show how many computers were collected and whether they were purchased or recycled. Drive-level detail is included when that is part of the agreed scope.

Certificates

Applicable certificates can be issued after processing, including data destruction documentation where drives were sanitized or physically destroyed.
